EditSynopsis. Throughout civilization, books have been revered. They crystallize knowledge, link the past to the future, and convey thought itself. To protect all sorts of written texts, a man known as the Magus of the Library established the Central Library in Aftzaak—the City of Books.
The chapters of the manga series Magus of the Library are written and illustrated by Mitsu Izumi. The individual chapters are being collected and published in tankōbon volumes by Kodansha, with the first one being released on April 6, 2018. As of April 2022, 6 volumes have been released in Japan.

As he endures the prejudice and hatred of the village, he dreams of going where such things don’t exist: Aftzaak, City of Books.
